As the leading official representative of the
pharmaceutical sector, recognised by the
Belgian authorities, the Association of
Pharmacists Belgium’s (APB) mission is to
develop, promote and support the expertise
of independent community pharmacists
working for the health of their patients.
Almost 9 out of 10 Belgian community
pharmacists are affiliated. Within the context
of its mission, the APB collects, in full
transparency and on a very large scale - with
unparalleled comprehensiveness - strategic
data on the consumption of refundable
medicines in Belgium. And this information is
already available and usable just 2 months
after the prescription is filled. The data
collected are aggregated and processed in an
ethical fashion and with complete anonymity:
professional confidentiality between care
provider and patient is guaranteed.
